THE electrification of schools and homes in SA and Africa's electrical infrastructure development has put black empowered electrical wholesaler ARB in the pound seats.
The group, which listed on the JSE's main board 10 months ago, is rolling in a dollop of government infrastructure spending and Eskom's build programme.
ARB, which offers products including power and instrumentation cabling, conductors, overhead line hardware, insulators and transformers, stands to benefit from similar activity on the continent.
With clients that include big construction firms, parastatals and electrical contractors, and those working on the government's overhead electrification programme, ARB's growth prospects seem limitless.
A new division, ARB Mining, will also stand the group in good stead.
The group is undergoing accreditation with a number of key mining houses and chairman and group founder Alan Burke says some early signs of success are encouraging.
