Maintain high standards of cleanliness, drug shop operators have been told.

The Jinja district assistant drug inspector, David Baliddawa, said drug shops were easily accessible by many people and at least 55% of patients get first aid from them before going to health centres.

Baliddawa was on Monday speaking at a seminar for drug shop operators at Jinja town hall. The workshop was to review the findings of a drug inspection exercise.
